We could all be a little Greener.
The very first step that everyone should take is to Recycle – In my town, the town trash collection does recycing, so all we have to do is put recyclable items in the recycle bin. The second thing that we can all do is the get educated – try the website OurEarth.org.
Easy Ways to Recycle:Recycle your trash – Check with your town to find out how to recycle your trash. You may need to purchase a couple of bins for glass, plastics and paper.
Buy products made with recycled materials – Many products are made with some percentage of recycled materials. Take a couple of seconds to check the labels. Computer paper, notebooks, paper towels, toilet paper, plastic products, and many other household items can be found that are made from at least partially recycled materials.
Reusable bags – Rather than using paper or plastic disposal bags, use reusable bags instead. Many stores sell them at a reasonable price.
Try to cut down junk mail – Don”t let paper be wasted on mail that you do not want anyway. Just call the customer service number printed on the catalog or advertisement and ask to be removed from the mailing list.
Recycling is Good Business:
Most people know that recycling plays an important role in managing the garbage generated in homes and businesses, and that it reduces the need for landfills and incinerators. Recycling is Good Business. But recycling is far more than a local waste management strategy; it is also an important strategy for reducing the environmental impacts of industrial production. Supplying industry with recycled materials, rather than virgin resources extracted from forests and mines, is environmentally preferable because it saves energy.
Recycling is Growing Business:
Recycling is a growth industry with many kinds of business opportunities, from collection and processing to manufacturing to inventing new technologies. New businesses in anywhere will create jobs for more area and improve our economy.
